If we told you: sneezing, stuffy nose, runny nose, sore throat, headaches … What do you think? Cold !

You have several questions about these little winter troubles : How to avoid them ? Does it exist a way to prevent them ? Can symptoms be alleviated ? We know how to help you !

Colds are very common viral infections caused by rhinoviruses. Located at the nose and throat, they last on average 3 to 7 days. Stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat… So many symptoms that make you tired. You « catch » a cold because your immune system could not prevent the infection. So just strengthen your immune system to better protect yourself. We suggest to supplement your diet by taking well-chosen probiotics.

Indeed, a Cochrane review shows that consuming some probiotics reduces the risk of upper tract infections (including colds) in children and adults. Incidence, duration and absenteism at work or school were lower among supplemented people (1).

The ingestion of Lactobacillus plantarum combined with Lactobacillus paracasei reduced the risk of catching a cold but also its duration (2). Lactobacillus acidophilus alone or in combination with Bifidobacterium animalis reduced nasal congestion and the incidence of cough and fever in children aged 3 to 5 years (3).

So do not be afraid of the little winter sickness.
