Internship: Technical development and rheology manager

The company

EXDEN, based in Carquefou (44) near Nantes, is a company specialising in the development and manufacture of probiotic-based food supplements. Operating in a dynamic and innovative market, we support our customers, both in France and abroad, from formulation and development through to delivery of the finished product.

Your missions

Reporting to the R&D Manager, your role will be to develop and test various technical solutions aimed at improving knowledge and understanding of rheology phenomena in powder mixtures and their shaping in various formats (sachets, sticks, capsules, etc).

A bibliographical and laboratory approach will be implemented by the trainee.

At the same time, following preliminary laboratory tests, you will apply these solutions at the industrial stage in order to test them under real conditions on future products.

The project involves working on different ingredients to solve powder rheology problems such as flow, fluidity, settling, drying out, etc.

Profile

At the end of a Master’s 2 or final year course at an engineering school, studying powder blending, rheology, galenics or formulation, you are preparing a BAC+ 4 / +5 diploma.

 Qualities/Skills: An interest in laboratory and pilot tests, the study and in-depth understanding of sometimes complex phenomena, technology, formulation and industrialisation. 

Curious, organised, rigorous, able to work with different technical people, able to assimilate information quickly and willing to work on formulation, galenics and rheology.
